When you have a small kitchen, daily dishwashing is a must. And when you live alone, or with a partner, washing three or four plates after dinner is not a major task. But what if you could accomplish more than that? What if you could, for example, do some gardening as you do your dishes?
“Say what!?” (Yes. We can almost hear you say it.) But that is exactly what “Fluidity,” by DesignLibero, allows you to do. “Fluidity” is a planter/dish drying rack designed for small kitchens to serve a dual purpose – provide a place for dish drying while using the water that drips from the dishes to irrigate a couple of plants.
At each side of the attractive dish drying rack there is a space where you can grow either an herb or a decorative plant. The shape at the bottom of the piece forces the water that drips from the dishes towards the containers where you have placed the seeds. Those containers are filled with pellets and coconut fiber, which serve as an insulator that holds the water in to nurture the plant, and at the same time keeps dirt away from the dish rack area.
Plates on a dish drying rack often make a kitchen look messy, but “Fluidity” looks like a work of art instead.
